You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Off down for a long weekend down to Bovey Tracey in March.
Google has come up with Great Plantation which is 2 mins down the road.
Are there still mtb trails there as the review on more dirt is from 2012.
Keen to take my bike to get away for a few hours but don't want to drive anywhere so the wife can take the car if needed.
You'd be better off just riding down the old railway from the middle of Bovey and do the Lustleigh Cleave loops that are always in the mags.
Probably about 10 minutes to cycle to Great Plantation and 15 to the good stuff on the moor.
Yeah there is still a few trails in there. It's a bit rough around the edges now as I don't think it's used as much as it used to be. Worth a spin if you are short on time
Thanks SR, will do a bit of googling now.
Get yourself into the cleavage man.
Jam bo...we are taking our daughter with us, so there will be none of that during the day.
Maybe after a few glasses of wine in the hot tub 😉
But if you mean something else....
Whilst there are/were the odd trail in Great Plantation it’s mostly flat. I’d head out through Parke and up the Wray valley trail till you get to Lustleigh then go to go explore the Singletrack in the Cleave (valley).
Just been for a spin round the cleave. It’s surprising dry in places, I think I even saw some dust..
Rora near Bovey is worth a shout..
Thanks all for your suggestions.
