I dropped my bike going through a shonky cattle gate last month, with a 3/4 full bottle of juice in the bottle cage, an Elite custom race, which was about 3 month old at the time.
At the end of the cage is a piece that holds the cage together to put pressure on the bottle to stop it flying out over the yumps, and i assume the weight of the juice laden 750mm bottle and shock of the drop split this component- hands up, my fault etc etc , but i rather like this cage and didn't want to throw it away for want of what was a small piece that failed.
I fired off an Email to Elites HQ in Italy asking if i could purchase a replacement, and a quick conversation with Marta Simioni, and lo and behold, a free of charge replacement landed on my door mat yesterday morning!

A top effort from Elite, and full marks for service, and all this was during the Elite factory annual holiday shutdown too- I'm one happy camper this morning!
