Im putting a Hope pf bb into a carbon bb shell. There is no aluminium apparent in the shell ( Cube carbon HT).
Do i grease the BB where they sit in the shell?
Thanks

Carbon assembly paste
Its the Hope 'screw together' PF bb if it makes any difference. Looks like i may have to buy some paste....
Yes, carbon paste. You'll thank yourself when you come to get it out next time. I bought a big tube thinking it would last forever, but I find myself using it all over the place and will probably need to buy more soon!
I once had an alloy seatpost seized in a carbon frame that I bought and I don't ever want to have to go through it again...!
I’ve just fitted the same BB into a carbon frame and used White Lightning Crystal grease which was recommended in other threads. Specifically states that it’s carbon friendly. Used the same stuff for the headset.

<div>I would use White Lightening Crystal.</div>
<div>I would not use a carbon assembly paste like Fibre Grip with bits in it</div>
Used White Lighting Crystal when fitting Hope PF46 and PF41 into recent Yeti carbon builds.
Was recommended by the LBS who supplied frames.
YT told me to use a carbon friendly grease on my pf BB that sits directly into a carbon shell like yours.
I used some Parktool grease certified or some such rubbish for carbon , PL1 or something.
Cervelo also advise synthetic grease, loctite 641 if the fit is loose.
I used a thin smear of suspension grease on the alu/carbon contact point and silkolene rg2 on the rest of it.
The suspension grease was because it's safe on plastic parts.
