I've always struggled with stiction in my 66s. Some at least comes from the air piston. I've used normal damper oil and Red Rum in the past, without seeing much change. It seems to bind when the fork flexes, which happens whenever I'm sitting on it due to the slack head angle.
I've never used grease in the air piston before, I assumed it would just get rubbed away after a ride or two. But I have some Stendtec grease which is supposedly for sliding surfaces, just wondered if anyone's used it inside the air chamber, and if it lasted.
Rockshox and Fox use grease on the air piston.
Slick honey or something isn't it?
I think that's like the Stendtec stuff.
make sure you use a grease that will not damage any seals.
