I've got a Moulton TSR bike, and it has a grease nipple on the bottom bracket pivot point. I remember reading one owner saying that his TSR didn't have much grease installed from the factory, and that the first grease gun they tried wouldn't work (I think it was something about insufficient pressure, or it blowing off the grease nipple).

Anyway, I know nothing about grease guns, or how to use one! Do they all work in the same way, and are they all a standard fit? Any recommendations for one which would work well for this application?

I suspect it's the type found on old cars rather than on bikes, you'll probably get more useful help from a classic car forum, or by visiting an "old school" garage and asking if they can give it a squirt of grease.

Thanks! The more I read, the more complicated it gets! I might take the bike to a mechanic and see what he reckons I need.
