I've been riding with a GD Turbo and an older model Specialized Command post for the past year (in some fairly horrible conditions). The command post has done OK, but the GD has really been something else. It's lighter than most of the competition and gives three useful positions (very much in the modern CTD style). Most importantly, it's never missed a beat on the trail. With its rubber gaiter and fixed cable entry point it is very well sealed from the elements. When it starts to feel rough you just pull up the gaiter, unscrew the cap (by hand), press the button and pull out the post (all with the post attached to the bike). You can then clean and re-grease the post; returning the function back to new in about five minutes. If anything does break I can buy virtually any part of it easily and fit it myself. In comparison, I can't even find a source for the proprietary cable of the command post any more.
It's a shame that it's so pig ugly as apart from that it's pretty much perfect.
