Any recommendations for some gravel wheels around £500?
Current wheels are Prime alloy, 19mm inner and a bit weighty at around 1900g
They'll be used for cx racing in the London and south east England league some gravel races and usual gravel rides.
Not sure my budget stretches to decent carbon, shortlist currently includes
Hunt gravel race - £450 (seem a good all round balance of weight, width and value)
VEL 35 GRL carbon gravel disc - £550 (weight isn't that amazing but could be a bit stiffer than alloy, haven't found any reviews)
Scribe gravel wide ++ - £380 (not sure much of an upgrade on what I've got but they'll be wider and have a quicker pick up)
Any recommendations or good deals going?
Thanks
I saw this review the other day

Something from fitwheels.eu. I bought some MTB wheels from them and was impressed enough that id look for gravel/CX when needed.
Or just riding along if they have stock again.
Thanks, that opened up a few more options.
I think I'm going to stick with the Hunt Gravel Race. Pretty wide inner rim width (22mm) and claim to be under 1,500g. I'd need to spend another £200 to better that.
Carbon wheels would be lovely but don't think I can justify it to myself!
Those vels look a bargain, but I'd be probably saving and grabbing some 303s's.
On balance, think saving for some carbon hunts like the 35 carbon gravel x-wides might be the better option longer term
DT worth a look? Usually merlin have options around that price. Spline 1600 with alloy rims are nice wheels
