My Trek Gravel bike came with tubeless compatible rims. (700 x 32)
Mostly ridden on forest trails and hoping to ride some adventure races.
There seems to be very few tubeless tyres in this size. Has anybody actually tried these and what are your experiences/recommendations?
Are they worth the effort/expense?
Can you fit a larger tyre in as the range of options will open up a lot?
Tubeless is worth the expense (little) and effort (very little) for me as I tend to get a lot of punctures where I live due to flinty gravel. Even with fairly tough tyres with tubes I was getting a puncture every week or so.
flinty gravel here and nano's at 40c have been great tubeless.
I use Vitoria cx tubeless for general bridlepath, road between tracks and off road, always worked well and been tough. Not 100% sold on tubeless for cx though (unlike mtbs) I have another bike with tubes and 40c nanos and thats been fine as has Mrs Kilo’s cx Bike which is currently on tubes
WTB Riddler 37C tubeless on cheap On-One rims. One tyre's fine and holds pressure without sealant, the other is a pain!
Definitely worth it. Last year two of us rode a week on gravel in Scotland plus 3 days in the Alps, some of which was pretty rough (I'm looking at you Colle del Sommeiller). Only one "puncture", ironically on road descending the south side of the Colle delle Finestre, but it pumped straight back up again and was fine the rest of the week.
We both run 38mm Specialized Trigger Pro2s, which in theory are too wide for my rims by quite a margin but I've never had a problem. Certainly wouldn't go back to tubes.
I don't think any of my tyres are tubeless specific and all went up just fine.
Currently using 32c Panaracer Gravel Kings without issue both on and off road.
All tubeless, or tubeless compatible 32C or near -
Hutchinson Toro or Black Mamba
Schwalbe G-One Allround/Speed
Kenda Small Block 8 Pro/Slant 6 Pro (KSCT)

Personally, I like the G-One Allrounds best. And yes, worth the effort. Can be a lot of effort to get em on too!
I have a WTB Nano / Cross Boss combo that goes up tubeless very well.
Not sure on your exact bike, but you'll almost certainly be able to get 700x35s in there.
I use Vittoria Adventure Trail II TNT, they're ace and cheap at Planet X at the moment
Schwalbe X-One?
Wondering has anyone tried the Panaracer Gavel Kings or the Maxxis Ramblers?
I have a set of the Hutchinson black mambas, very easy tubeless setup, light and roll fairly well.
Yes had gravel kings on WTB sti rims tubeless with little effort and stayed up with no fuss
I've got GravelKing SKs on Pacenti Forza rims. Rear needed an extra layer of tape, but they've been great for several months.
IME the biggest tyres you can fit if venturing into the wilds - makes negligible difference to rolling resistance, but improved grip, reduced chance of tyre damage / impact damage. I'm just waiting on some 45mm Riddlers for summer fun.
Schwalbe G-Ones here. Great tyres and completely stable tubeless, but they were an absolute arse to get inflated. Recommended tyres though - they don't feel substantially slower than the GP4000s on my road bike...
Gravel king sk's here. Love em except in gloop but that's not too surprising really
Anyone know any U.K. bike shops that sell or can get Soma Cazadero tyres
I'm running Vicctoria Hypers in 35c on Hunt 4seasons. Nightmare to inflate tubeless even with an industrial compressor but have been great since.
