Anyone had trouble on the mine tracks lately?

A guy said to me today on his way down that he'd met a warden who told him "bikes aren't allowed any more" - not that we ever were "allowed".

I didn't give it too much thought until the turn off the Sandy Gate BW (coming up from Conistone) - where there's a brand new no cycling sign and a fresh one on the way out at the Grassington end.

Anyone know what's this about - new landowner, new warden, Strava tracks upsetting someone or nothing to worry about?

Bit of an ongoing issue...

It's just daft really. Turn it into a permissive BW and they'd save a fortune in signs, and bikers would cause them no hassle.

So many BWs to nowhere in that area.

Only ever seen estate workers a couple of times on that top track. Never been challenged.
