Looking for an easy to use online GPX editor, where I can upload a GPX and then edit it. I used to bikemap but seems to have gone downhill since the recent updates.

Any suggestions?

I use

http://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php

brill.

EDIT: actually it's not great for upload then editing gpx.

I tend to open it two tabs, upload my gpx to one, and then create a new course in the other tab and then download it.

Depends what editing you want to do - WheresThePath will let you drag waypoints delete them and add new ones by splitting a leg, but if you're after fancy cropping and joining routes then I don't know of an online tool that'll do it  GPSTrackMaker is a free download that does, but it's a bit of a faff to use it with maps.

walklakes.co.uk/ is another option. Uses full OS mapping

Thanks everyone, Plotaroute seems a winner for me.

As above, walklakes is you want full OS maps or whereisthepath but my favourite is gpsvisualiser. Great to upload multiple routes and the plotting tool is really user friendly

Have a look at www.viewranger.com, I've used it and plotaroute though admittedly not a huge amount but I prefer viewranger. Easier to get up to speed with quicker which is what I want given I'm a very occasional user.

I've used viewranger too - full OS and other map choices and does allow gpx import and editing (both on a portable device in the app and online via a web browser). The main issue I have with it is that if you want to edit a route (for example to follow an alternative path) you have to drag and drop each waypoint one by one, which can be tedious. If you need to remove a section you also have to delete one point at a time - there's no facility for selecting multiple points for deletion.

Viewranger here too.

The interface could be a wee bit more user friendly, but a very good app.

I like the way I can have credit for the map tiles, and just download small sections at a time.
