So a guy gaps me on the way home going to the cycle track in bristol. I then proceded to chase him down for 8 miles with my head down into the wind/.properly on the rivet.. I got within 50 metres of him but couldn't close him down.

uploaded the ride to strava and says exactly who it was as it said i rode with him.

so i add a comment

"ah!! it was you I was trying to get to.. fair play you were putting it down!"

to which he replied

"Ah. Man you really pushed me, sore legs when I got off. Next time we share"

I think Strava is great too. Dumps on Facebook and Twitter. We must all be riding up hills faster as a result, someone will have segmented it.

I was shocked the other night to have placed 8th on a local climb despite not feeling as though I was pushing. Means next time I'll push harder up the climb and try and get 1st.

I much prefer it to using my Garmin.
