Still not quite sure how I did this... was trying to air out of a bank and fell about 6 or 7ft to flat, tangled in the bike.

What penetrated my hole?

Had a poploc lever shaped hole on my side after a crash. Fortunately the snapped off bit was still attached by the cable so it didn't stay in.

I think you need to do a CSI and stab a vegetable (or yourself) with all of the pointy bits on your bike until you get a match. Does look like a brake or shift lever though.

We need scale!

Take a picture with a penny or small child (depending on size) next to it so we can judge it better.

Impaled on your own thumb shifter or lever?

Where on your body is that?

I had a similar hole when the actuator of gravity dropper went through the back of my calf, the hole was the size and shape of one of those cheap disposable plastic lighters but flesh went missing so it could not be sown up.

I was feeling ok until some halfwit came past, stopped his mate and said jeez, look at that you can see right in side when she wipes the blood away (she was an angelic qualified nurse or paramedic out riding who kindly helped out)As always my bust ribs and cracked head hurt more than the hole but you live and learn (well sometimes)

That Hope brake lever......thank god I just ended up with a purple hand and wrist, I have that lever on my bike and could have gone badly wrong looking at that......
Some good injuries, as my wife said as she heaved when I showed her the lever shot, it's a dangerous sport that you do isn't it? 😆

Chainwheel did this and the subsequent infection took 6 months to clear.

Just did an involuntary squirm, that is GRIM!

Bit like living on the surface of the planet.. we don't really know the full extent of what lurks within

Probably prettier than that though
