Awesome event, done it for the last 2 years.
6 or 12 solo and teams 2,3 or 4.

Not a lot of climbing.
Lots of twistys.

Just enter already.

Its a pretty long drive down for us from North Wales too - especially after work, but it's well worth it.

I was considering doing it solo, but I'm going in a mixed team of 3 instead. Its a fast fun lap, so if I did it solo I don't think I'd be able to pace myself. It'd be "Attack! attack!" for two laps then 10-11 hours of death.

Solo'ed it last year, have done as a team plenty times before.

As above, nice twisty forest singletrack, few climbs but nothing too steep or serious, generally a nice relaxed end of season vibe. And free beer at the end.

Team again this year, just so i can piss about with mates and the barbecue instead of keep plodding on.

Soloed it every year since it started, planning to do the same this year!

What sort of advice are you after?

Is there plenty of trackside camping?
is there a transition area?
do soloists have to go through it or can you just pull off pull on the track?
How long distance and avg time per lap?

Sounding like a good excuse to punish myself with a singlespeed solo attempt, loved mayhem as a team of 4, but fancy a challenge.

Just to confirm the above assuming you get a trackside pitch can you just pull off/pull on as you please?

As per shortcut's answers, except his lap times are for team riders.

45 mins per lap average gets you 17 laps as a solo, only one person managed that last year.

50 mins to an hour is probably more realistic for your first solo effort, depending on your fitness obviously. And that's assuming it's dry.

Good luck, it's a cracking event 🙂
