What's Gore sizing like?
I'm looking to buy a second hand Gore Tex jacket from eBay and having had a look at https://www.gorewear.com/uk/en-uk/cs-sizing-charts.html it recommends a Large for my 38" chest!
I've never been a large anything!!!
Is their sizing guide sqwiffy???
Gore stuff depends on the cut.
They have some very slim-fit "roadie" stuff that only really works for me if I'm in a drop bar position, and they have much straighter cut that works better for MTB.
I'm around a 38/39"" chest and all of my Gore stuff (and that's quite a lot) are Medium. The Phantom I have is, conversely big for a Medium and I could likely gone down a size.
I'm also Medium in Endura, Polaris, Montane, Mountain Equipment etc etc etc (just in case you're planning a birthday treat for me)
Cheers, I'm a small 38" by tape measure. I'm a medium in Endura stuff. The jacket I'd seen is Active Fit, so I'll keep looking for a medium.
I go up a size, sometimes 2 for Gore stuff. It works on the roadie scale, but isn't as small as castelli or similar. Depends on the range/cut too, as mentioned above.
I have two Gore Windstopper jackets. The ten year old large one is smaller than the medium I bought last year.
Bought their Active Shell MTB jacket in large and it's a good (though fairly snug) fit, but otherwise I'm always a medium or small. I'm a 38" chest, 32" waist. Amazing bit of kit (the jacket, not me).
I have a lot of gore stuff but I now can't remember what size it all is. I'm a 38 inch chest verging onto a 40 (so maybe a 39...)
Gore stuff is a large at most, maybe a medium
