Anyone used the self advesive (curved) gopro mounts on a vented helmet, which doesnt have a completely smooth uninterrupted surface like a skate helmet.
I have an IXS trail Rs lid. Just don't want to go sticking stuff on it if it's not likely to work.

Thanks

Haven't tried the sticky mounts but had great success with the vented helmet mount:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Camcorder-Camera-Binocular-Straps/GoPro-GVHS30-Vented-Helmet-Mount/B002EF2200

found it came loose on the first couple of rides but after changing the way the strap went through the buckle its been fine ever since.

I used an Evans own brand light mount yesterday for my GoPro and it was perfect. Only £4 too

I used Sugru to conform to the shaped bits on my helmet then used the gopro mount surface to create a flat area, I then peeled the backing off the mount and stuck the sticky bit on the sugru..has worked a treat..
