[Closed] GoPro Hero+ and data overlay, how?

Running a GoPro Hero+ and a Garmin 800 and i'd like to overlay the data on the video like this sort of thing.

how can i do it? using an iMac with OSX 10.6.8.

Can't you use the GoPro desktop software for that now (provided your camera has GPS)? Looks like the vid in your link was done with a Garmin VIRB though, which is supposed to be significantly better/easier for overlays.

Use Garmins Virb edit software.

Its surprisingly easy to do. You import your video, and a FIT file (i think) . Then you can align them with the time stamp and hey presto!

It allows you to shift the video and data points back and forth - so if you see a known point on the video you can match it to a location on the GPS file.

There is a free package called Dashware that you can use to combine video and .fit output and show dashboards etc. Works pretty well.
