I would hang out for the 7 black. It has the hyper smooth stabilisation which makes it far superior the silver or last years black. But yes, Black Friday is a con.

Definitely the Black i'm after for the Hyper Smooth. And yes BF is a con if you're thick...but if you know what things cost normally then you get some real bargains. Ive already bought a Garmin 735 XT with HR strap for £200. Bargains can be had if you do your research.

I was going to order one from them but the reviews on them are pretty bad. Like most of the cheap deals, they are based in HK so you have pretty much zero warranty.

So VAT and import duty to add on top of the prices?

So incredibly nippy

All items purchased on TecoBuy.com come without additional fees upon delivery.

And yes. it has a warranty

If you find someone with a Unidays account, sure there’ll be someone on here, then you can get 20% off the Black at gopro.com. I’ve just picked one up for £303.99

no. they normally make a false declaration on the import documents "value $10 technical sample"

^^I thought customs were a bit more clued up to dodgy stuff like that these days?

It's a bit strong for them to absolutely state you won't get hit with import duties surely? As you most definitely could be if are unlucky.

If you can go second hand try here

https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/used-equipment/used-photo-and-video/used-action-cameras/used-gopro/

I was after a Go Pro but couldn't justify the cost, so bought an OLFI One point 5 instead. Great little camera.

Have you got a decent cupboard at home? This is just as important as the GoPro itself.

After a couple of times using it the cupboard will become its home .

🙂

And the mad skillzs to generate anything worth filming. And the time, a good enough PC and inclination to edit it into anything worth watching.

The 7 Black does look like a big step up in terms of generating smooth footage that you can actually use however.

From a creative perspective the one I'd like to play with is the Fusion. The over capture feature and ability to pan the camera around after the fact I think could be a game changer for generating watchable footage whilst having an actually good day out and not turning your ride/climb/whatever into effectively a filming day.
