I'm looking for Avid Elixir pads and they seem to be in short supply.

Are Goodridge any good, do they come as just pads or do you get the retainer pin/clip and the pad spacer spring thingy?

Thanks

don't know about the sping for elixir pads, but I've had a couple of sets for formula oro and they were fine. From the backing plate (thin like 'proper' formula pads) and the way the pad material bulges through the back slightly (a good thing i think), it would seem that they are not made on the same production line as the budget ssc etc ones.

Have used goodridge in the past, did their job, no better or worse than others out there. I'd use them again.

Goodridge are good IMO. I think they're probably the best I've used (including the Avid ones). I have tried Superstar Kevlars which aren't as grippy as the Goodridge sintered ones and don't last as well. I also use the ones from Disco brakes because they are cheap and they deliver extreemely quickly; they're not as powerful and don't last as well as the Goodridge ones. I've just bought the Disco Kevlar ones to give them a try, they will have to be pretty bad though for me not to buy them at that price again.

That's all in my experience, using them at different times of the year etc.

The Goodridge come with the spacer spring I think but not the pin and clip. I think that only the Avid ones come with all that but I could be wrong.

I've had Goodridge as a preference for years. Sintered work brilliantly in Hopes, nice and bitey and last for ages.

I've put them in my Formulas now, and they haven't disappointed. Not bad for £8!
