I want to swap my old hope mono mini hoses for spangly braided Goodridge hose.
The goodridge kit is 35 quid an end. which is a bit pricey.
But the hose is 8 quid a metre.
So can I buy the hose and a few new hope olives and reuse the Hope fittings on the goodridge hose?
cheers
No
Different hose outside diameter and bore size - so no.
Your Hope fittings will transfer over (unless you have the really old 6mm hose).
Here's a guide I did for the job.
Yep, exactly the same hose, just a different way of connecting them. Possibly worth noting that the very first 5mm hose fittings that Hope used had a smaller bore for standard hose than those used for braided (one had a hex, one had 2 flats), later standardised as large bore on all types.
Er. Bought my hope brakes on 2004. And the hose is original.
If superstar do a kit, you could do a lot worse than that- braided hoses, the bolts etc aren't the lightest but they're perfectly good.

Have a pic of the fittings?
