I've recently taken delivery of the Goodrich gear cable kit. They come with little yellow tubes with Goodrich stamped on them but I have no idea what to do with them, or where to install them?

Anyone know what they are for?

Meds.

They are fairly loose so slide about, so they always fall to the bottom of the cable.

They do not fit tight anywhere, not even around the end ferrul things..

I don't think they will stop cable rub very well as the yellow bits themselves will still rub the frame..

I was thinking they were a heat shrink type material, so got a lighter and heated them, they did not shrink to wrap around the cable outer.

I'm still confused.

They are just to advertise the fact you bought Goodrich cables. They serve no useful purpose.

I shoved them up near the shifters and they stayed there but they are pretty useless.

Nah, just branding
Google "jagwire tubetops" for what you're talking about.

Yup thought so.. Shame they do not attach anywhere, as it stands at the mo they just look scruffy, flapping about at the bottom of a cable bend.
