Trying to do a bike +1 ‘value’ build. Have a cheapish Frame, forks and wheels. Looking for groupsets. I have 12 speed (SRAM GX) and 10 speed (Shimano XT with RADR cage for the range), on my other bikes.
I was thinking of either the SRAM NX11 or Shimano M7000. Both are available on Bike Component DE for 250 EUR, which seems fair. The SRAM comes with a BB, but Shimano you can choose the option of 11-46, versus the SRAM 11-42.
Is there any major advantage of one over the other? I think from previous tinterweb research either will do the job just grand. I am also not afraid to put the bits together and Build it all up, if that is a better bet.
NX has more range but the cassette is a boat anchor. SLX shifts better, but doesn't have the very lowest gears.

I have Deore mech, cassette and the non-series black 4 pot brakes that go with it, on my main bike. It would be fine for your n+1, and is properly cheap.
Oh, if you need a chainset, SLX is the way to go.
NX doesn't last very long.
I like sram and have it on both bikes but I’ve not read great stuff about NX 11 speed. Gx 11 speed is a lot better if you can get a deal on that (although the 10-42 cassette needs an xd driver).
If not I think I’d be looking at shimano deore or slx.
If you go down the mix and match route it might be worth considering a Sunrace cassette.
i have the SLX m7100 12sp in my basket on there. its £225 plus another £22 for the chainring (not sure any of the trendy chainring brands do a ring to fit the shimano direct mount yet do they? certainly wont be £22 if they do)
but yeah, just under £255 delivered.
just need to convince myself i need it. i hate my turbine cinch crankset! its always coming loose - and i my cassette is pretty worn too, plus i dont get on with the 11-46 XT (i like the big ring, but the next one up is too big a jump)... but do i really wanna go 12 speed?
I'd go with SLX. It's not far off XT in terms of feel/performance. As mentioned above - Sunrace cassettes are worth considering, they have a better set of ratio gaps than the Shimano cassettes especially at the bottom end.
I'm still on 11sp and usually do a pick and mix of...
Sram XG1150 cassette (or SLX would be fine if freehub dictates)
XT shifter
SLX rear mech
Race Face Aeffect crank (or SLX is good if you don't need to go below 30t)
Shimano, Sram or KMC chain (whatever is reasonable quality and cheap)
Pretty sure this usually comes in under £250, but I tend to catch deals or buy new/unusued off ebay.
