My brother acquired a 32 hole speedhub for his retirement present and i just picked up a Ramin Pinnacle which I thought would work nicely with it. I don't want to trash the current rear wheel (for the wtb scraper i45 rim) in case he finds something he prefers and we need to sell it on as a complete bike. He'll probably be running tubes but something that works well tubeless as well would be ideal . Not interested in carbon and budget would be up to £100 for a single rim . Also it may be used with tyres ranging from 2.3" up to 3.00 so I'm thinking internal width of between 35 and 45mm ? If anyone is knowledgeable regarding the options and could make a recommendation it would be much appreciated as I'm a bit out of touch re the current choices these days.

Hopefully the i40 is better than the rather cheese-like i29s that are on my Bronson. 😅

I used to run DT XM521's when I had a plus bike. Would definitely recommend.
