Ive moved to keighley (oakworth end) and iam looking to find sum good riding which i can do from my door . Ive got my self a map and been out a few times and found a few ok tracks , but there is nothing better than local knowledge !

I already do a fair bit of riding over at hebden and halifax , also done the routes around ogden res ! Ive been told that there is some good trails on harden and haworth moors ?? Looking at the map both these look with in easy reach from my door , is there any other trails i should be picking up along the way !?

Any pointers would be appreciated , iam heading out in tommrow to do a bit more exploring !

Cheers
Chris

Harden Moor has got some good little tracks on it, although by itself quite small.

Unfortunately I dont have any routes as such but from Oakworth you could easily ride up on to Harden Moor, down to St Ives across Bingley and up on to Baildon Moor.

Give it a couple of weeks and I'll have gpx routes of the Baildon/Harden Moor areas..

Oakworth? Check out Holden Park - it's fascinating! Better than many National Trust properties

You're quite close to Bingley Bash , as I think it's more commonly known. Not done it yet, but three cafes and three pubs sounds good!

Email Troutie, he only lives in Silsden and knows the area like the back of his hand.

When I was last up there a few weeks ago he took me to Gisburn Forest, probs about half hour max from you by car. Top place to ride and the trailbuilders have done an excellent job there.

Lots of stuff on your doorstep too so I would email him as he needs to get out biking more as we have a long weekend planned in the Lakes in July 8)

Nick Dutton Taylor's West Yorkshire guide is about 20 years old now, but has a couple of pretty good rides around your area.

Will have a look when I get home and see what I can find.

+1 for Harden Moor

It's small but perfectly formed if you like singletrack and playing on your bike. By the time you've ridden there and had an hour or two exploring you'll be ready for home!

Just been shown round Bingley today and Harden Moor. A cracking little loop. I have a gpx file if you want it.
