Not the greatest for advice etc, but big Go Outdoors in Penrith, 1 minute off the M6 J40.

The most obvious easy stop would be GoOutdoors in Penrith 💡
Berghaus shop at Gretna Gateway but size may be a problem 😉

Tiso is off junction 15 M8

What's your route? There are a quite a few in Skipton - including a Cotswold and Ultimate Outdoors.

Your welcome 😆
Noticed diesel was £1.29p at the station just after Carlisle today ❗
Might be some extra police patrols around tomorrow/Monday due to the http://www.northwest200.org and a fair bit of pilfering from farms and homes around the area. Lots of quad bikes, trail bikes and a Range Rover of Overfinch variety have gone missing. Watch your speed through D&G 💡

In no particular order Decathlon in Glasgow (Just off M8), Tiso in Glasgow (just off M8), Nevisport (City Centre), Cotswold Outdoor (just off Clydeside Exressway), Go Outdoors (Clydebank) and Ellis Brigham (Braehead).

I'm genuinely interested what the connection is between this and someone wanting an outdoor shop or the local motorbike racing scene. Am I being thick or are you rambling? 😀

Trekster has plotted Ton's likely route, and is warning him of potential hazards on the way, including reasons as to why those hazards may be more prevalent now than at other times.

If it's not too late, can I make a shout for Outside Edge in Oban? Great wee store, bit of an Aladdin's cave, all the good kit, local and independent.

I try to shop there when I can rather than the usual Cotswolds although Cotswolds have never done me wrong...

If you're going up to Oban from Callander via a84, you have a few options. The dobies just past j10 of the m9 (where you would come off take the a84) has a Cotswold in it. There are several smaller outdoor shops in Callander too.

If you're doing the Loch Lomond route, and then up to crianlarich, check the road first as there are night time closures due to road works.

Decathlon at the Fort has closed down unfortunately. There is still the one at Braehead though.

Ok, oh blimey, someone hit a young dear on the A65 last night or this morning, on the Skipton bypass, made a right mess. It may well be on his likely route, Ton better watch out for suicidal dear around the Skipton area, never seen it before but who knows?, it's a jungle out there!.
