If you mean you'll be working in Marlborough then the Downs, and in particular Fyfield Down, are looking glorious. If that's your thing of course!

Alternatively head for the Wansdyke, with a good chance of seeing short-eared owls, and soak up the awesomeness of that embankment.

Edit: how about West Woods?

If you only have a short time try the mbswindon trails by the M4.next to the Nationwide offices. Great fun for an hour. 4 or 5 laps will sort you out...

Last months (not this months) mag had a ride guide for swindon. download for £2 and print the guides? otherwise lots of laps of croft woods as mentioned by robbo. bit noisy next to M4 but very good fun.

Some lovely track and trail riding to be had up above Bishopstone on the Ridgeway and surrounding area.

West Woods? Lovely....especially with the bluebells!

The downs around Barbury / Hackpen / Fyfield are lovely, I'll be up there after work tomorrow about 5-ish, my first ride on the mountain bike for months, can't wait!

2 Laps around the Croft trail tonight and it was OK for a quick blast 🙂 but not recomended with 750+ mm bars.
Might have a look around Barbury castle next week if anyone has Gpx or kmz files to share that would be great.
