Hey,
Does anyone know anything about the state of the wolf trails if they survived the forestry work and when they may reopen?
Nothing further on the tweed valley trail association,..
Just curious, thanks.
Seeing as no one has replied , The work is apparently finished and a mate bumped into the original builder of the trail who said they reckoned about 200 ft had been affected but not badly . Apparently most of the trails intact and hopefully shouldnt be long to get them up and running. I doubt they will feel the same wide open but still great trails that have been missed.
Thanks for the info,
I do wonder what will happen once the trails are left more exposed to the weather without the protection of the trees and the root systems.
Harvested tree stumps always give me the fear as well, I could absolutely see me impaling myself on one..

Complicated... The roots'll stop sucking up water but the lack of trees sometimes can actually dry up a slope because of the wind. Haven't a clue what'll happen on that particular inexplicable 45 degree swamp but teh hill above where it's clear might be a good indicator
