Looking for a rim I can put on my existing Hope hubs, to ‘upgrade’ my Banshee Spitfire from 26”, but that I can also use as 650b on my gravel bike.
Currently have Stans Crests on the Spitfire as I’m a wheels on the ground rider, who doesn’t tend to kill kit. Trail riding end of the scale, rather then Enduro/AM.
Niner gravel bike will take 2.0”, and on the Spitfire I’d be looking to run up to a 2.4”. Have Stans Arch on the HT, but looking online they are optimised for 2.25-2.5” so look like they’d be a compromise on the gravel bike re tyre size.
Anything else to look at?
Halo have a reasonable range of widths so might be worth a look. Personally I’d build a set for each bike, but I quite like building wheels…
P.s Halo Vapour 650b, 21 internal, sub 500gram, 64.99 are showing as in stock

Yeah that would be ideal. But trying to be cost effective and I’m not 100% sure if I am going to keep the Spitfire as I honestly don’t know when I last rode it (I think 2 years ago!). So it’s a bit of a trial to see how it stands up alongside my enjoyment of riding my HT.
According to this chart:
https://www.lightbicycle.com/newsletter/tire-size-chart-for-bicycle-rim.html
23mm or 24mm suit both a 2.0 and 2.4 tyre.
But according to WTB:

This from dtswiss should be compatible:

I've got dtswiss rims (ex511s), and I can't see me buying another brand, tbh.
DT XM401 or XM421. I went with the latter on a gravel build with 2.1 tyres. Would be better for 2.4 on the MTB too.
My memory is that lots of 50 gravel tyres are aimed at 25mm rims. Which is narrow these days for mountain bike tyres but hardly crazy.

Stans Arch are fine with 2” tyres. I run them with 2.0 Conti Race Kings on my Camino and they work really well and make a light wheel. The only slight downside is the Arch have a very flat shape so are not very aero compared to a gravel/road rim.
Edit: mine are Mk3. Mk4 is a couple of mm wider (and more aero!).
