Any point in taking a bike? Any decent trails in that area that are easy to find/get to?

Sounds nice, I love Norfolk.

I'm sure there is a woods in Brancaster.

There's no large areas of woods to ride in, but there are plenty of paths to make up a loop from. You could ride the top end of Peddars Way, as part of a loop. However, be warned - it's going to be pretty muddy due to all the rain and the fact that many of the bridleways will have been churned up by tractors (it's sugar beet season!).

Take a road bike or just enjoy long beach walks.

From Brancaster, take the beach road, and then a lovely run along the beach!! The sea goes out miles, so plenty of wet compacted sand to run on!
