I'm building up my new frame and have taken the opportunity to go 2x10.

I've ordered new ta Chinook chainrings, xt cassette, xtr shifters and xt direct mount front mech. I was going to get the xtr chain for £33 but I also have heard good things about kmc.

Anyone with experience of both?

Haven't tried a 10 speed kmc, but the xtr chain runs noticeably smoother than 10 Speed sram chain I previously had on. If you haven't read the blurb, the xtr chain is asymmetric to aid shifting. Saying that if you're not running shimano rings it will make less of a difference.

KMC X10SL. Various Taiwanese sellers on eBay doing them cheap, seem legit.

I was going to get X10SL but decided to go XT in the end as I'm running Shimano rings plus I could get 2 XT chains from woolyhatshop for only £24 each.
