Going BPW in the wet and not being prepared for cleaning a lens left me needing to replace my goggle lens as it was scratched so much you nearly couldn't see through it!
I have picked up several pairs of spare lenses, but cannot seem to find a storage solution for these, I can see MX style bags which hold multiple pairs of goggles but not something bespoke to lenses. I imagined there would be like a CD wallet style thing, which would allow me to easily take my spare lenses to a riding spot and then use the best lens for the riding conditions.
How do others transport or store spare goggle lenses?
In the cardboard/plastic pack they came in?
Why would you need specific lens storage luggage?
That's two people that didn't read the brief.
He needs to store the lens on their own with minimal chance of scratching them or dirty ones scratching the others when swapped.
I think it will end up being a custom fabrication along the lines of a CD wallet.
I find that a quick trip to the toilet at BPW to use the sink and the hand dryer solves a lot more problems, once the foam is wet they fog up all day.
Hand dryer is the solution or a couple of pairs of goggles.

Well, the Dakine thing does say "Extra lens storage"... (but it also says "Out of Stock")[edit](no, I take that back, Black is in stock)

I store 2/3 spares in my stash*, along with the goggles themselves when I'm not using them. When you are using them, you have a nice big space to put the dirty ones.
Only scratches so far have been from landing on my face.
* the spares often come with a wallet which can be used to separate them in the spare lens section if required
Proper mudguard to keep the mud/water from being flicked up.
If you want to stop lenses getting scratched, fit a tear off on the posts.
I have a pair of oakley airbrakes with roll offs for wet uplift days, bit excessive but you can see where you are going and not crash!
funnily enough goggle lenses don't get scratched in the cardboard/plastic packaging they come in.
OMGZ I DIDUNT REED TEH BREEF 🙄
Thanks all for the comments, I have ordered the Dakine Stash, looks like it will do the job.
The original packaging would make sense, but I opened the packaging like a kid at christmas and tried every lens in the goggles whilst binning said packaging... I will remember for next time not to do that, although I have enough spare lenses now to last a lifetime ha ha
Another one here who's lenses got scratched up at BPW the weekend!
Tear offs were rubbish on my Oakleys, the water and grit got everywhere! in between the tear offs reducing visibility, not good when you just about to hit the first drop on Escort!!
Had to dump the googles back in the van in the end and ride without
I'm looking to buy some more lenses and use the same sort of paper the tear offs have to separate them, then just store them in a spare goggle pouch
dont wipe your goggles with a dirty glove. try and run a bit of water across the lense.
there does come a point when you just have to ditch goggls squint though the crap and rain though
