You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Is there any ?
Yup....shizzle loads.
The Sand Dancer nightclub in Barmouth can be quite gnarly at chucking out time from memory.
Enlighten me please , whats the best area to stay for a weekends shredding?
North Wales.
Snowdon, Penmachno, revolution, Tanat valley?
Matt out andabout ,waste of ink dude
Betwyscoed
Names of tracks , Grid references ???
You said "dude and shredding" without a hint of irony.
The relevant border authorities have been notified and you will be denied entry at customs (and your passport will be marked 'DO NOT ADMIT).
The welsh assembly passed a strict anti rad policy in late 2011.
I shredded a gnat at Coed y Brenin last summer.
Foel Gasnach - Ruthin
Faster than you?
The ClimachX trail just outside Machynlleth is pretty good.
One man's gnar is another's pootle.
What bike do you ride? Where do you normally ride? What is the best gnar you have ridden to date? Do you have a day or a weekend?
Ok small amount of progress between all the usual bilge ,any more suggestions from the shredding community ???
usual bilge
It is your first day here, play nice.
If you can find it maybe you can ride Nant Gwrtheryn
Mystical Celtic source of the gnar cymraeg
Teenage Pregnancy Grid Ref 61297,15889
My advice would be that Pinkbike is full of 'shredders' (or at least that's what I thought they said).
Thanks Matt out etc ,weekend ,gnarrlier the better Rossett Gill type stuff .

lots of sheep shreading goes on I hear
Sorry should have said done Snowdon , Rangers path is the sort of stuff Im looking for though
lots of sheep shreading goes on I hear, YAWN yawn.
Have you met Pussywillow yet?.You pair will hit it straight off.
Endearing chap... 🙄
Thing is mate if anyone was keen to show you I somehow reckon they might have gone off the idea by now.
Get a map and look at it you lazy fek
So you ask if there is gnar, but have already ridden it?
Ok small amount of progress between all the usual bilge
First post and you come out with that.
That's one cocky attitude problem you have there.
Sometimes the clues in the username....
Sorry chaps didnt mean to offend, touchy or what.
You are coming across as 'a bit of a lad'.
Anyway- Snowdon descents are well rated by all. The DH tracks in Blaenau Ffestiniog get rave reviews too.
However, your attitude seems to indicate that you are to Gnarr for them, so perhaps you are not suited to North Wales.
Sorry, you come across as such a cliché "doood" that I thought I'd add my own.
Can I recommend OL17, OL18, and perhaps OL23?
Foel Gasnach +100
nickc, I am not well educated please explain why Oldham poostcodes are relevant or am I missing something ?

Yeah i never got round to getting over there.. Last i heard was they were struggling with red tape when trying to organise race dates? Shame.. Looks like an interesting course.
Simply downhill no longer looks after the track or do anything with uplifts.
The bottom of the track comes out in the car park so don't ride there.
It is on private land so you're best off keeping away.
Lots of as you call it gnarrr hidden away in north Wales, you should give the guys at www.northwalestrails.co.uk a shout. Nant gwytheryn is currently closed, foel gas nach is good, loads of trails hidden away too.
@fullofit, plenty to be found in N. Wales but we don't do as well for bridleways as other parts of the UK so trails tend not to be broadcast. I'm assuming you're looking for techy rather than pure DH? All the main areas have good stuff that can be found by following yer nose (Betws and Llanberis for example). Other off-grid stuff to be found off the A5. Lots and lots of other stuff too. Google Earth is a wonderful thing!
I was wrong about simply downhill at nant gwytheyrn. There will be a race there march.
nickc, I am not well educated please explain why Oldham poostcodes are relevant or am I missing something ?
Surely anyone who has been up Snowdon would have had an OS map at somepoint....?
Sorry, but this had me howling....
I am not well educated please explain why Oldham poostcodes are relevant or am I missing something ?
I have nothing constructive to add further than that, Sorry.
Cheers saxabar youre getting my drift man ,I sometimes accidentally end up straying off the bridleways myself ,suppose its a local knowledge thing ,cheers anyway matey.
matt etc etc I was following someone who had a map durrrr, rangers path hardly qualifies as gnarr in my opinion
What sort of stuff are you looking for? natural big mountain rides? Downhill?
There are some good big mountain rides up above the North Wales coast, a few good rides on the Roman road GD SH6972 from there you can head up to Drum GD SH7069 and if you look in that area there are a nice few rides around the Carneddau and Dulyn resivoir at GD SH7066.
They are some pretty 'out there' rides and best done when the weathers good, it can get snotty up there and it's not a nice place when the rain and cloud comes in.
Natural big mountain rides please two niner ,Epic type ride including gnarrlage

May I suggest that a more fruitful approach than swaggering on here and upsetting a few, that you spend you time getting a couple of OS maps (or go on www.Streetmap.co.uk or www.geograph.org.uk ) and learn that:
