cb – the minimum order is 20-tees, so if I see enough ‘bugger, missed this’ posts, I’ll open the shop again for some more orders. But for now, I’ve got my hands full getting these 141 out.

I would have expected, given the inspiration for this t-shirt, that you would happily take pre-orders on 972 different t-shirt designs made from at least 7 different materials from 6 suppliers, charging at least £100 each for them, and then get busy deleting negative comments from your insta feed?

I've ordered 2, took a punt that they'd be ready in a timely and professional manner and set them for UK delivery!
I'll be in Blighty till the 14th, any chance of a 'priority' distribution so I can fly home with mine?
Pretty please and thanks 🙂

teethgrinder - thanks for the offer but unless these are 'on the small side' I'd need a L rather than XL.

Good job AlexSimon, hopefully 19 others have been as inept as me and still want shirts!

What about granting people as-needed permission to use your artwork on the proviso they make a contribution to the fund? There are places around that will do direct inkjet printing for small runs (some will do 1) at a not unreasonable cost. They probably arent quite as good as a "proper" run

Long update!

Most tees and packing boxes arrived on Friday, so the weekend was spent making boxes, doing a mail merge (never done before), sticking labels, folding t-shirts and taping them up, then slicing them open because we had 4 missing tees at the end, then resealing them all, then panicking because we had one tee left over, etc, etc.

There was an error in the supplied numbers affecting 9 orders, which I've emailed those 9 directly about.

First, I got a minion to help fold up all the boxes:

I didn't want to use plastic bags and wanted to guarantee Large Letter sizing, so went with boxes, but I think if I were to do it again, I'd use some kind of biodegradable plastic because it was a pretty painful part of the job - making and taping them up.

This is only about 30 of the 140!

Then we mail merged, printed the labels and stuck them on boxes

Then I got a minion to help fold up all the tees

See the typical STW size distribution! S top 2XL bottom

140 boxes times 4 of these per box means the house has got 560 of these on the floor

Then we boxed and taped all the packages

They are now with the local postie for processing and being sent today Second Class (2nd = more money for Mountain Rescue).

Apologies again to the 9 delayed orders - I've contacted the t-shirt printers this morning to inform them of their error and will update as soon as I know more.

Enjoy!

Yep, he's the only one in the house that can do that.

I'm always doing stupid things like this. I'm hoping she still finds it charming 🙂

There's a chance, but a minimum order of 20 tees I think. So far I think I've only counted one other person posting. Let me get these all out the door first 🙂

This is brilliant.

Cheers for all the effort.

Shall be wearing mine with pride as i drive to the local trail centre in search of Gnar, with my Gnarpoon attached to my over priced German estate wagon.

Do we know the final figure that is being donated to the mountain rescue?

Thanks again.

Well we're not fully there yet - still 10 packages to post including abroad, but it should be in excess of £400, which I keep having to double-check because it sounds too good to be true.

£400!!
I will pay you actual money if you send one out to Sick!
Dont put enough postage on it though so they have to pay 50p to get it

FMP.- I think you will find the arm holes are at the bottom , by the big hole .Your welcome.

Edit..you would tell us if they have ordered one though, wouldn't you?

Thanks for all the hard work Simon.... and minion!

Genuinely can't wait to get my 2 tees!

I ordered 2 different sizes. So one will fit in the Summer....and the bigger one will fit during my... erm....Winter hibernation/chocolate fest.😆

Hmmm - I wonder if I could get on the back of the black reprints with some more orders.
dunno - they haven't got back to me about the lost tees yet!

I wonder if the best thing to do is just open the order page again and state that it's an indefinite delivery time and may only go ahead subject to a minimum order number. If, in the end, I have to refund a few orders, PayPal wont penalise me will they?

Thanks go out to you and the minions.

Good thinking!

I guess in theory we might have some in people's hands today. Assuming 2nd class can sometimes arrive in 2 days.

Edit:Oooh - crossed post. Good stuff!

This thread (and @AlexSimon and all his hard work) are the perfect example of exactly why this forum - and the people thereon - is awesome. Can't wait to see mine in the flesh (though it's a birthday present for a riding buddy, so hopefully not TOO much flesh).

Top work sir, top work.

Wearing mine now. The Large comes up big against other large tees in the draw ( floordrobe)
sleeves to near elbow, hem down to the danglies . I am 5,11 and at winter weight so 76kg, drop 2kg through summer normally.
I was expecting a bike and all I got was this cracking tee shirt

Well to be honest, I am expecting an error as we were short of one XL blue and had a spare XL grey. However, we opened all the XL blue and grey packages and there was no error, so god knows what that means!

My t-shirt has arrived. AlexSimon is rad. All you haters moaning about not receiving your t-shirts yet don't deserve them. Bet you all post on STW and don't even ride bikes. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to wear my t-shirt and take photos of me doing rad things in it and post them to Instagram and give abuse to anyone who says bad things about AlexSimon on the internet. I am his subject now.

Mines arrived- spot on!
There was demand for some of the other designs.. why not add them to the shop and see how many people go for it with the same caveat as the re-order number.

Disappointing at the amount of tape used. There was enough there to turn a wheel tubeless 😉

Interesting - in the past people have reported the Gildan sizes to be spot-on. One of the reasons I went with them.
It's possible I'll have some black M and S sizes left over (due to the size mix up at the printers), but I'm not going to offer them until everyone who ordered has been sorted.
