Got some new Fox gloves with silicone on the fingers. Work fine when dry, but once a bit of water or sweat gets on them, they become really slippy (Using XT levers).
Considering a bit of grip tape on the levers but pretty sure this will shred the gloves quite quickly.
Any other quick hacks out there?
I bought a pair of Fox Attack Water wet weather gloves that had this issue. They were absolutely terrible in the wet for exactly this reason. I love dirtpaw gloves, and thought they'd be a good alternative for wetter rides, but they were genuinely appalling. I've since binned them having only used them once.
Shocking product. Move on.
Is your finger right in the hook of the lever?
Yep. In exactly the same place its been for years with other gloves without issue.
Im wondering if there is anything i can do to make the gloves more grippy....
Shocking product. Move on.
this may well be the case
Just read a bike radar review of the gloves that criticised them for exactly this issue. Utter pants.

Yep, my Rangers are the same. It's a poorly designed glove designed by someone who doesn't head out when it's wet (I have to assume).
They come only second to the SuperStar silcone grips from a few years ago in the OMFG WTF were they thinking stakes.
Once the winter sets in, grip tape gets stuck on the levers. Don't have to worry about what gloves I have.
my fox rangers are the same. easiest thing to do is gently sand down the shiny surface of the grip patches on the fingers and then they work fine. not sure i'll buy another pair mind as the last two sets i've had have fallen apart pretty quickly - they used to be my go to gloves and were pretty bomb proof, seemingly no so much any more
Cheers Sofaboy. Ive just tried that.

Same problem with Shimano levers in the wet.
Is Grip Tape sticky?
Do you wrap it or just a strip along the lever?
