After some recommendations please, not thick things that you loose touch sensitivity from and not necessarily waterproof, just to keep the chill off my hands.

Ta.

as an alternative (and I use them and really like them, however was used to them from motorcycling ) you could try pogies(handlebar muffs) - Pogie-link and for the gf (not that experienced so not comfortable with hands covered/not able to see and it does make taking hands on/off bars more complicated/difficult/slower) I got these bicycle versions of motorbike enduro bushguards - bicycle-baar-guards -which she tried and still didn't like as they still made it more difficult to hands on/off....

I'm liking my 100% winter gloves. Nice and slim. Not fully water proof but good enough and your hands stay warm even when they are wet.

Agree on Pogies for proper arctic conditions and a warm breathable glove of choice on the hands - it was finally cold enough to use mine this week.

Skytech Argon from Screwfix for a fiver. Fleece lined, rubber dipped and don't turn their fingers inside out when you take your hands out.

The thinnest gloves that I've used that are actually anygood in anything approaching cold are Polaris Vortex windproof fleece gloves.

Silk lining gloves and my gore windstoppers sized a little large. I have poor finger circulation at the best of times and the silk liners really help. Avoid the velcro!

Not really a winter glove but I can get away with wearing Defeet Dura gloves unless it's really wet or cold.

I got those skytech argon too, from screwfix. As good as any previous gloves I've had, but 1/4 price.

100% Brisker. Like a normal lightweight riding glove with a thick back. Great for keeping the wind out. I love mine.

I use Endura Dexters, have had a few pairs over the years - windproof and no annoying liners. Not waterproof but as good as.

I'll add that I've never had a pair of cycling gloves that can keep my hands warm whilst riding non tech stuff in say 0deg. The best I've had are motorcycle gloves, but they arent great for offroad on pushbike. What I need to do is get into the steeper more technical trails, where I'm out of the saddle, having fun. That is what keeps my hands warm.
Of course if its pishing down with snow and I'm on top of Whites Level, then I'm a gonna 🙂

Mainly Aldi winter gloves. Also have the Skytec Argons, which are great value and surprisingly good

Had some pogies turn up earlier this week. So far so good
