It's that time of year again. 11th annual GFBD.

Anyone planning a Fatbike ride this weekend? GFBD is officially on Saturday but I know that Sunday works better for many

Let's hear your plans and remember to post a few photos of your rides.

I'll be out on my Dune tomorrow, but just me and the dog I think as I'm dogsitting.
Dog loves the fatbike though. Something about the buzz of the tyres gets him riled. 🤣

Ta for the reminder.  I've not ridden mine for a year now.  Just checked it over ready to go out tomorrow

It won't be anything exciting tho - bit or urban singletrack

Had intended to go out in the FoD on Sunday with an organised ride but can't make it now, so I'll have to do one another time in honour of GFBD!

Ours are about to get advertised for selling because they just don’t get used, but maybe I’ll go for one last ride.

Just fitting studs to my tyres so I can ride my local trails in Southern Finland. Shame it wasn’t last week as there was a lot more snow about.

Sort of, there will be at least 3 fat bikes mixed in with the drop bar MTBs and gravellers

Well I did make it out for a bit but not too far as when I put the fattie back together I got the bars twisted in a funny position so it wasnae too comfy to ride

Still - any bike ride is good

This will prompt me to taking mine out for a quick spin on Sunday - working today.

I am a tool and procrastinated on ordering a new rear tyre when cheap and (predictably) prices have now become pricy again.

I didn’t ride but did clean them, change a bottom bracket and take some photos 🙂

Oh man. I really want a Caribou. I saw one for sale the other day but it was a large and I need a medium.

@kayak23 it might have been mine 🙂 It’s a great bike but I just don’t use it, it just hangs in the garage taking up space.

I’ve rewritten a proper advert for it now too with some decent pictures.

There’s a medium on one of the Fatbike FB pages at the moment.

The Fatty is a medium 😉

Had no idea it was that day again - have recently built a set of offset 29+ wheels for my Pugsley using WTB rims and it feels fantastic.
Dug the fat wheels out yesterday instead and had forgotten how much fun Nate’s are in the mud. Got to be my favourite tyre of all time.

Met a couple of pals and took my slightly elderly On-one fatty up onto and around Alyth hill yesterday. It became a slightly sleety slide around between the gorse bushes and back through the woods; tremendous fun. Have to say I was really glad of the stacks of grip from the Minions both ends, although it possibly took nearly as long to wash the bike afterwards as the ride took but hey, it's Scotland in December..
Hills are looking really bonny in the early sunlight this morning, there's a really good (cosmetic) dusting of snow above about 600m across the Angus glens.

12 cyclists, 7 on fat bikes. We started at the Fyrish car park for a chilled/chatty 29km loop.

Hair frost - something I'd only encountered once before.
