Anyone else entered this?
I'll be there for my first race for 20 years, riding solo on a polished zaskar.

Anyone got details of the course?

There were some in the email I got the other day. You'll be doing the same lap for seven hours. The first one is a warmup and a scout, after that you can go flat out.

From what I remember it is from the carpark up the field onto the singletrack upto Buzzards nest, some blue then some "secret trailfairy" stuff back down to the field through the dual slalom course. About 11km per lap. Last year it was wet and I did 8 laps in the 7 hours. There was abit with two line choices, fast and steep or easy and longer. The steep bit started off being the best but turned into a mud fest after a few laps and was pretty much unrideable by me.

There was also a nice little drop in the woods (the one on all the photos) which created some excitement, especially as it changed throughout the day and got muddier.

Ta jonba,
I was looing for more detailed info on the route.
I know the place well and think that I can put most of it together from riding there recently looking at the route colsures.

8 laps is damm good solo, that is my target this year so hopefully I'll make it.

Helped mark the course today, its similar to last year but there are some significant differences, its going to be riding much faster than last year too!

I'm going, it was this or TUTB and I've done Ten under a few times and fancied a change.
No idea about the course though.

I'm in pairs, should be great...

I don't know the whole course but last year's was mint, and the main descent is the same/very similiar- which means a mix of barely-dug trails and walkers paths, some offcamber, some loam, one surprisingly steep roll-in that scared the bejeebers out of a lot of people, one tree that I bang my arm off every damn lap... It's a total peach, not that hard to ride but harder to ride fast than I've seen from other race routes.

I was helping unearth an old forgotten race link just off the blue route, which is mostly flowy but a little loose under wheel, and has a pretty techy entrance (for your average UK race anyway). But might have been adjusted further since I was working on it.

How to put this... I did 10 Under the Ben in 2010 and really didn't enjoy it at all, more or less swore off XC racing. But I got a free entry to the Seven last year for helping on the course, and thought "Might as well"- and had an absolutely brilliant day, didn't expect it at all. It was good enough that I ended up entering more Tens 😉

I had so much fun at the enduro last weekend I am tempted to do this as a pair with the gf, but not completely sold on it, and would be relying on getting a place on the day.
