Might be heading to GT at the weekend. Is any of it closed at the moment?

weekend past spooky and super-g below it were shut, spooky is nearly finished and super-g marked for repairs - i think they were due to open this weekend but don't know how on target they are.

Based on the signage I saw last week I think it was due to be opened next weekend. The place to get the full run down will be here:

It seems down at the moment so maybe it is being updated. I may be up there tomorrow/Friday so will post up if it is open this weekend.

The 7 stanes website says Spooky and Super G are shut until the 30th

But am I right in thinking that the Spooky Wood descent is okay and its just the climb that is shut. So if you make your way up the fireroad toward the radio mast you can ride down Spooky Wood?

Anyone know I'm going on Saturday

Thanks

Rich

My understanding is that spooky woods was covered in brash and so on a couple of weeks ago

I did the climb to the top of Spooky on Saturday, it was clear no problems. We were told that the descent was also fine, it had just been cut up a bit in a few places by the logging. When we got there they were doing the repairs to the trail, so we turned round and went back the way we came.

yeah repairs have been done, probably to the one below by now too, so probably best to avoid riding on it.

And don't make the mistake I did a few weeks ago and think "I'll just pop up the radio mast climb and along the Boundary Trail, then back onto the blue after top of Deliverance" The fireroad is closed there and was sent down the walkers path that puts you at the bottom of Deliverance, and had to climb all the way back up Redemption. Much longer ride than I planned !

Thanks guys

Worst case I'll just do the Blue until Hit Squad Hill and then follow the Black / Red from there. Should leave plenty of time for messing about in the freeride park.

Looks like it will be lovely weather too!
