You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Me and a few mates are heading down to glentress shortly for a couple of days riding, and looking for some route advice, possibly 1 day glentress, 1 day inners?
We're all happy with any difficulty level of trail.
A couple of us have ridden there a little but its mostly unknown to us.
So what does everyone advise?
print the strava heatmap and head to thornielee and golfie instead
What do you actually want to ride? If you want a straightforward day then GT red with some extra bits works really well. If you want endless gnar then the golfy is always going to be best... and so on.
No matter what you'll only be able to scratch the surface so don't stress about riding all the best stuff, you can't!
I know we're not going to be able to do everything so hoping for a list of best bits,
Probably 1 easier trail centre day as we never really ride them (all based in Aberdeenshire, so normally ride steep natural stuff)
And then 1 day golfie trails?
Might be useful

Not done it wet but theirs 13 of us going there next Thursday for 3 days so hope to give it a go.
OK cheers probably not what we're looking for this time but will bear it in mind for another trip
I you fancy doing around 27 miles at Glentress then you can string together some trail centre and head across the valley to do Gypsy Glen. Otherwise for GT I always just favour using the trail centre climbs to get to the "off-piste" stuff
Golfie - check out Trailforks and fill yer boots!
Up the black, down zorro, up the climb again and down the long descent starting at Carl’s lane and ending a almost on the road. Then do the red marked loop. This will give you a bit of natural and marked trails. For the silly steep stuff there’s always inners and golfie. Most of the trails are in trailforks.
As ever you will get loads of conflicting advice. IMO to find the best of the off piste stuff at GT you need local knowledge. The red with a couple of goes thru the pie run / mushroom pie and an hour at the jumps and berm baby berm is a good day out and means you don't spend time trying to find stuff

Up the red, down Plan B, up Tower climb, down Zorro, down Empire of Dirt, along to freeride and join the red again there
adjusted to taste
Is empire of dirt the one that crosses a water stream in a boggy area?
Think that's Fairy Liquid you're thinking of. Empire of Dirt is a bit further along. Similar in that it's not likely to love bad weather though (although I think it'd hold up better)
