Thinking of heading to Glentress for a couple of days of riding and camping during the kids October hols.

Any campsite recommendations?

There is camping at Glentress forest lodges.

IIRC, you need to fill in a contact form, then they call you back to book.

Yeah use the lodges. Good facilities, trails on the doorstep. Visit The Riders Retreat (former GT hotel) for food and drink

Always used the one on site as above. Nice staff. Decent facilities and you ride from the tent which means you can call in to resupply/rest/eat.

They were making it larger when I stayed there in April. I'd consider a pod at that time of year for a little bit more luxury/convenience. They weren't silly money.

Is there secure bike storage?

No secure storage at the campsite, we stayed in the pods last year so we wheeled the bikes in at night or locked them up in the back of the car.

Thanks for the tip about the lodges.

Camped there for 2 nights at the start of the week and the site and facilities were superb.

Will definitely be staying there again.
