Was at GT yesterday,
Not been for a while. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed my ride.
The car park was absolutely rammed but the trails were pretty empty - I was out with the wife so I did a mixture of red and blue and I'd normally expect these trails to be very busy on a sunny day.
Anyway, there were more walkers than I'd ever seen at Glentress - not a criticism, the trails are largely segregated so its not an issue - its a big forest
Is this a sign of things to come? Is the FC trying to encourage more than just mountain bikers?
The FC has been presenting Glentress as an all-round outdoor recreation centre for years now. One of the reason for the new visitors centre was to increase its appeal to non mountain bikers.
We were at the freeride park then done the red and it was choked with riders. That was about 1pm
is there still (if any) snow higher up?
maybe as it was a nice day the bikers were going further afield than trail centres ? 😛
They were all up the trail ahead of you. You just weren't fast enough to catch them. 😀
