Early tomorrow I will be heading North with a couple of riding buddies.

We were all set to spend the whole day at Laggan until I suggested trying out Glenlivet too.

So Laggan in the morning & Glenlivet in the afternoon its to be.

Anyone any experiences to share?

Thanks in advance,

Alan.

I was there yesterday for the first time. Trails were all dry and dusty.

I thought it was really good. A bit too much fire road for my liking, but the bits of singletrack were really good, although there wasn't very much originality with the trail features.

Have fun!

I would stay at Laggan Glenlivet is a bit of a path in the woods.

Yeah glenlivet isn't worth the 1.5 - 2 hour drive from Laggan for what is a glorified forest track. I wouldn't say any of it is really a red graded trail apart from the 2nd last drop and the black one next to it. Just spend the day at Laggan or go to Rothiemurchus or Grantown-on-Spey instead if u want somewhere else to ride.

1.5 - 2hrs from Laggan? - Is that travelling North?

Surely more like 1 hour? It is properly out in the sticks. I'd agree that Laggan is better. A day out in rothiemurchus would be far more rewarding I'd think, and closer. The local bike shop (bothy bikes iirc) had maps of trails in the area.

Well, as above we rode Laggan & Glenlivet.

Glenlivet was awesome! Flowy for about 75% & very, very fast in bits.

We all thoroughly enjoyed it & will definitely be returning.

Pity its so far North.....
