Does anyone know if there is a route up one side of the river and back the other? The map seems to suggest there should be but local knowledge may say otherwise.
Also - is there a rideable route from Glen Feshie to Glen Tromie?
cheers
The high bridge on Feshie at Carnachuin has now been washed away. If the river is low enough, you will still be able to ford it. There is a reasonable ford under Creag na Caillich.
Ford just downstream from where bridge was (track forks down to it at cottages) and is rideable when water low. River a bit deeper at bridge remains (mid-thigh at bridge vs hub deep at ford).
Good quality estate road on W side.
Yes you can ride from glen feshie into glen tromie - Its a bit hunt the path after you come out of the woods until you reach the weir and take the landrover track around the woods not the single track thru them as its a bit of a struggle to ride
do not follow the single track marked on the map thru the allt an dubh chadha - it doesn't exist and yo end up trudging for miles thru heather
Thanks folks
TJ - is it better going from Feshie to Tromie or other way?
dunno really - just different.
got a nice route for a lovely bit of singletrack on the west side of the glen - email me for a map of it

Far better stuff in the area. The estate road is like a motorway - warp speed down into Feshie but that's about the only 'attraction' to it.
River usually fordable where the track down the west side of Feshie ends (at 848911).
