Visiting - where should I ride? Anyone have any routes from/taking in Mugdock and taking in some more dramatic scenery, or should I head a little further into the hills?

Thanks.

GMBC night rides, or check the website for weekend rides. Don't go to Cathkin, it's a race venue, not a trail centre, and is a bit shite.

Depending on where your staying arrochar is about 40 mins drive from Glasgow , there is the Glen loin loop and the peninsula loop . The riding is pretty straightforward fireroad with small sections of singletrack but the views are amazing .

Thanks. Planning to go out on a weekday, but Arrochar may be a bit too far. Anything good in the Kilpatrick hills or Camspie fells?

Has the 'standard' Kilpatrick Hills loop. There is loads of great biking aat and around Mugdock but it has the potential to be underwhelming if you don't find the good stuff.
