OK so i really need a new bike, it has to be a hybrid, and this -

- looks perfect.
Mostly just as a commute bike, but also the usual tow-path-lite-gravelly-stuff, it looks like a great deal, and there is an Evans store i can literally pick this bike up from tomorrow.
I'm as good as buying this thing tomorrow, so give me a reason not to.
Give me a reason to be... [url=

You got a reply. But am I going to give you a reason.
Maybe. Maybe not.
I don't understand how the tyres can be as comfortable as the bike itself? Do they also have a seat on them?

Aesthetically, i'm not a fan of the reverse tapered downtube look... I associate it with supermarket bikes.
I'm not enamoured by the sales bumpf, and i'm a bit concerned about the width of the wheel rim - how low does that go?
I don't understand the Portishead reference but that looks a great bike for the money.
It looks fine. For that price I can’t see any reason not to get it.
Buy it, and get them to put mudguards on it with some of the money you've saved. Essential on a commuter!
Sees thread title, expects Portishead, doesn't disappoint.
Looks a great comuting machine
Reason not to… Evans are that Sportsdirect fella everyone hates?
But if its “perfect” for you, and a great deal, why do you need to ask?
er, it could be sweet…
Well, i bought it. Only ridden it back from the shop and once round the block, hope to give it a proper run out tomorrow.
Right so...

so that's that...

I actually said it 'looks' perfect, and we all know that looks can be deceiving - much as i love bicycles, the whole technical aspect of the modern bicycle 'game' has rather left me behind. Asking for a reason not to buy it is essentially me waiting for someone to pipe up with 'wait, you don't want that, it has a tapered non-boost thrunge-bucket made entirely of cheese' or the like - one thing that can be said about this forum is that it is populated by people who know their shizz.
… and did it work?
I'm now madly in love - before the day i bought it, life was so unkind, this bike was the key to my peace of mind, it makes me feel like a [url=
