I'm off to Gisburn next week - is it pretty straightforward to find the Hope Line? Is it a diversion off the red or a separate thing?

Same for the other fun looking bits, Hully Gully and the Slab I think? Don't want to miss the good bits 😉

When you climb the steep fire-road its on the right at the top.
Hope line is seperate it takes you back to the bottom of the road climb.

Hully Gully are black parts off the red route.

Hope line starts from the top of the fire road climb, to the right. The other stuff is well sign posted. Just ride evrything you see.

All straight forward - the Hope line is at the top of the first big climb - you'll see a big picnic bench at the junction and it drops back down the hill to the right.

If you miss anything, just ride round again - it's only about 1.5hrs to do the full route. Hully gully is a bit cut up - a lot of braking damage - as is a lot of the trails (typical during heavy traffic times).

The slab is something of an anticlimax, just enjoy the flowy singletrack through the woods.

Yeah its all pretty well signposted tbh. The hope line is at the top of a long fireroad climb, theres a couple of picnic benches etc so quite hard to miss - theres like a couple of jumps etc in the open by the benches and then it dives into the wood for the rest. ONce you've done it you can go back up the fireroad to the top again to get to the slab and hully gully, you just follow the red 8 signposts.

(Edit - Damn, beaten to it)

Cool, ta very much! Doing a race there at the end of Sept, so I figured I'd best at least have a look around.

Hully Gully overrated IMO, and braking bumped to hell and back. All of gisburn is pretty good. Park at Tosside, ride in on the ride road, hit the Hopeline first, then do the 8. bottom loop first

Cheers for the advice all, thoroughly enjoyed Gisburn, including the Hope line and black bits. Definitely agree that the highlight is the lovely singletrack in the woods, the "feature" bits mentioned above are grand, but over pretty quickly. Hully Gully seemed ok, not *too* cut up but I dunno what it's usually like, and the Hope line was smooth as a baby's bum.
