Anyone been to Gisburn Forest lately? Are all the trails open at present? Most other trail centres are still suffering from fallen trees and I'm wondering if Gisburn is the same?
All good at Gisburn. Nothing been reported on their FB page or by friends.
Rocky in places,a few uphill climbs and a few downhills as well,it's wet when it rains and dry when it doesn't.
A short section right at the end is closed for repairs at the moment I think. You miss the final boardwalk, bit through the woods and nice bermy descent.
No tree problems that I know of.
Yeah, I was there last Tuesday, the final section (from the hub to Cocklett Hill car park) was closed so you miss out the final boardwalk and swoopy bermy bit.
Other than that, it was OK, quite a few splashy puddles but then it was pouring with rain so all the braking bumps had filled with water.
The Hub Cafe thing is only open weekends at the moment, it'll open full at Easter.
