So who rode it yesterday. It was my first time and the first time for a lot of my friends (there was about 8 of us in total dotted about)

Bloody great fun! still buzzing. a little more serious but just fun fun fun. Ill be looking at the others at lunchtime!

yes i ws rubbish, yes i fell off, yes it was fun.

The kids (anyone below 40) were amazing! some of the riders look like they were out of a pixxar film. It just didnt seem like it was possible in real life. One one WGEB on the whole day.

Done events like Ard Rock, Boltby, Ard Moors but the riders at this event seemed to be on another level.
Really enjoyed it though and the good weather was a plus!

I was the guy doing most of the stages with my eyes shut.... managed 13.04 in total which put me 67/95 in my category. Was happy just to finish (and beat 2 of my mates).

Just stalked you.. I was just behind you at the start of stage 4, you had a conversation with my mate about taking a dog on the stage in your backpack....

We went up Friday night with our daughter for the weekend. Got in some riding on Saturday before going between stages on Sunday to watch her compete. Great weather and once again first class event from the organisers

I was there sunday, just spectating. Some really good riders there! Spent a lot of time lurking below the drops on stage four till my baldy head got burnt by the sun. Definately inspired me to give it a go next year. Gonna have to go there and get some riding in and see if I think I am up to it.

Some good snaps there Tracey, how did your daughter get on?
It was my first PMBA event Jordan, really enjoyed it, think the key is at my level to do it with similar ability mates.

ahh were you the chap on the trek then! told you that you were faster than me.

Yea some interesting conversations at these things 🙂 what sort of dog do you carry for a trailside snack?

For anyone thinking about giving it a go next year i am pretty crap at this biking stuff and still survived (just) looking at all the others now but dont know if ill get them past the fun adjuster.

Came 3rd in the ladies. To be fair to her she was shattered. She got back from the EWS on Tuesday night only to disappear into Wales to compete in the BUCS DH Champs where she had a bad crash but finished 2nd, battered and bruised and in need of a new helmet. Came home Friday and travelled straight up to Gisburn.

stages where a bit to pedaly for my unfit legs, personaly i'm not a fan of gisburn but its probably a great place to do a first enduro. can't wait to get racing on the steep, technical, off piste stuff. not that i'm a good rider, just managed to get under 12 minutes on sunday but that was still over a minute behind 2 of my mates.
still enjoyed the day out though, much better than the very wet race there 2 years ago(last years was cancelled due to ice)
