did gisburn forest yesterday with 8 friends.
absolutely loved it,although i've come to the conclusion my bike skills are crap,6 crashs and i feel pretty beat up this morning.(was thinking about going clips, but glad i kept my flats on)
on another note,my mate lapierre's rear hub packed up,and thanks to all the lads who stopped and offered to help

cheers

We were also there yesterday(first time) and what a cracking trail that is.
Loved the rocky sections Dragons teeth, big foot and of course hully gully.

This is the next trail centre I'd like to visit but I live in Stoke. Do you reckon it's worth a 2hr drive? & if I was to visit on the way down from the north how long off the M6 is it?
Thanks

It's about 25-30 mins from the Kirkby Lonsdale exit.

Not sure I'd drive 2+ hours for it from Stoke, but that's probably overfamiliarity talking.

I wouldn't drive 2+ hours for it either - but then I don't live in Stoke!

Maybe combine with a visit somewhere else? Lee Quarry/Calderdale perhaps. 🙂

Familiarity breeds contempt - or so they say

It's a great little trail with some very nice sections (still being added to, I might add) and the cafe and skills section add a bit more.

I've driven two hours to Cannock and the same to Llandegla and had good rides. I've also driven 70mins to Hope and had a shit time (although I've also had great times there)

If I'd not ridden it I'd drive the two hours to see what it was like. Then you can decide if you thought it was worth it.
