My trusty Endura lightweight is falling apart and while I would just go and buy another, models change and so now I'm back to square one

Things I'm after:
lightweight
windstopper
no or minimal rear pockets
no front insulation (have one of those)

I know budgets vary for a gilet, so don't hold back if your recommendation is pricy/cheap

Cheers

Like my gilet - from Morvelo I think (Ride Journal).
e.g. https://www.morvelo.com/collections/mens-gilets/products/dsc-champions-gilet

not cheap though. Some on offer if you're XS size.

I have a 7Mesh one which is good. Very lightweight, well made like all their kit and squashes up small enough to shove in my small hip pack. It is a roadie fit so i sized up.

If you fancy a Gore red one in Large drop me a note. It's one of the older Windstopper AS ones, so with a mesh back and very light material which folds up small. Had it a few years, worn it about 4 times ! £25 posted 🙂

I've got an Altura medium in yellow that is too small for me. Good condition. Yours for the asking.

Second thoughts your dog might try and round you up if she sees you in that.

Rapha Pro Team can sometimes be had for around £60, picked mine up for about that.

I have a Perfetto with insulated front for cooler conditions, the Rapha fits the nice space between that and not needing one at all...usually early starts before I’m properly warmed up.

After that it packs up tiny and sits in my jersey pocket, don’t really notice it.

Has minimal pockets, not bulky but hold an energy bar for ease of access before it’s packed away.

The sad end to this tale is that bonesetter was never ever seen again

I second the Ali Express suggestion. I got a "Void" gilet on there for very little money. The bonus was that about a week after it arrived, another one arrived in the post! Two for the price of 1 (which was already very cheap).

It matches your required specification exactly.

Really like my Aussie Grit. Does have a rear pocket, but far from bulky, seems really well made, and water beads on it nicely

I recently bought a Galibier ventultra gilet for my road bike and have been very impressed with the design. It pretty much does everything I was looking for. Their products are not covered in logos, appear to be practical and are at the lower ent with regards to pricing.
