Currently in the market for a new hardtail XC type bike and have been looking at the XTC Advanced 2. Not least because I like the colour :-). Anyone have any experience of the 2014 model or any of the other XTC models? Any good? How do they ride? How durable are the carbon frames? Will the trails come alive with 27.5 wheels? 😉
I have a 3, which is a stealthy matt black. The bright blue and orange scared me off a little.
Absolutely love it. As you'd expect, it climbs well, but I've also been setting lots of PRs on strava on flat, twisty sections, because this thing corners on rails. The frame feels very stiff, laterally, so is easy to chuck around, but the ride isn't too unforgiving.
